We’re back in full fall swing. I’m trying to figure out more ways to use the crockpot, and Aaron is reviewing Christmas program music, deciding between songs about Santa going on a special diet and a holiday tribute to Queen with “We Will, We Will Jingle.”
Clara loves to do both what I ask her to do and what I tell her not to. She likes sitting in the adult chair at the table. She tries to put my shoes on my feet when she wants to go outside. She also likes splashing water all over the bathroom and flinging herself at the door in dramatic protest over not getting to play outside by herself. By overlooking most consonants, she can approximate a lot of words when we ask her to say something, “ese” for “cheese” and “please”; “uice” for “juice” and “milk”; “air” for “chair” and so on.
Below, she plans on feeding me with the biggest spoon in the house.
Aaron and Clara play potato head at night while I wash dishes. Aaron’s Mr. Potato Head voice sounds exactly like an aging Bill Clinton, and all of Mr. Potato Head’s stories begin with “every year thousands of potatoes” meet some kind of cruel harvesting fate.
The picture below has become a house favorite. Baby Potato Head.
Clara is learning some amazing magical feats under Aaron’s careful tutelage. If you wait until the end of this clip, you’ll see her latest trick.
We had some moose over last night for shrubs and bush.
Good looking moose family.
