He’s Here!

(It’s me, Aaron, guest writing here)

Sherry delivered our bouncing baby boy, William David, at 3:03 pm yesterday after a paltry 90 minutes of labor.  After missing three of our four theoretical due dates, we went in for a check up and found that Sherry was 95% effaced and already 7 cm dilated.  However, for whatever reason, she still wasn’t in labor.  Fearing a roadside delivery, with the good counsel of our midwives, Sherry decided to have her water broken at the birth center.  This happened at around 1:30; she delivered at 3:03.  Yes, that’s fast, but now hear this: 9 lbs 7 oz delivered au naturale!  No major complications to report, just one tough momma and one perfect baby boy.  I’ll let the pictures tell the rest.

Debating our options around 1pm.

Next thing you know…

Paul here, snooping in Kelsey’s email… Congratulations, Lohmeyers! We were excited to hear about your healthy new addition. We thought it was funny when we realized that our newborns are named Kate and William — you know, like the British Royal Couple. Haha!

P.S. Aaron, we’re missing another great run salmon run, from what I hear. Oh well; I don’t imagine we’d have much time for it anyway.

Yay!!! Congratulations! William is so cute…and the photo of him screaming looks just like Clara! You’re a beautiful family of 4! We’ll be looking forward to more photos and stories. 🙂

P.S. To add to Paul’s P.S., yes, it’s been another great salmon run this year. We wish both of your families were here to get in on it. 🙂
